So it's Valentine's Day 2013

Today's Google Doodle to commemorate Valentine's day is different. A mix of love with a playground attraction. Today mark's the 154th birthday of George Washington Gale Ferris ~ the inventor of the popular Ferris Wheel'. He was an American engineer

It's interactive so even the kids can play it.I so love it. Pun so intended too! Go on ..... have a go on the 'Ferris Wheel'. Love is in the air. LOL

Here's sending you all loads of Geeky Love

Happy Valentines Day everyone.

Maths Masterclass for Primary School kids ... Really?

I don't know if you know but my Funky Geek is a mega Maths Geek. It so so unreal. He reminds me of the guys on Big Bang Theory but with a 'funky twist'.

we got back yesterday and he was bursting with geekiness saying he has some very good news for me. So he gives me this letter from school and here is what it said .....

He was well chuffed, I was well chuffed. we were both dead chuffed. Cambridge is looking much much nearer! Every little step counts.

The Pea Green Car

I saw this and just couldnt resist. Green is also my favourite colour

Tiny Green Pea Car: Looking as fresh and tempting as the day it was shelled. Created evidently in 2005 for a Birds Eye Peas TV commercial, this delightful little car was custom made by Asylum Models and Effects in the UK. Its chassis's from a go-cart, the headlights from a VW Beetle, the indicators are Lancia, the engine is Honda. The rest is bespoke! via theflyingtortoise. Thanks to @Josh Draper! #Green_Pea_Car

This pod of a car was created for a 2005 'Birds Eye Peas' Advert. Too cute. Makes you feel like popping it into your mouth. I wonder what has happened to it since?

New Years Eve ~ Just before 2012 curtain close ......

Phewy! now I do need to squeeze one more post in before the final curtain call. Once 2012 has gone, it's gone forever. No going back

So are New Year Resolutions in place, did you all get what you wished for this Christmas (whether from Santa or some other surprise source)

But New Years Eve is really a time for reflection, for family, for taking stock of ones life, lessons learnt and mistakes made too. Yes it's a time of thinking about what has happened in ones life in 2012 and be re-energised for 2013

I thought I'd round up with all things green and geeky. Celebrating Pantone's Colour of the Year 2013 ~ Emerald. My favourite colour in the whole wide world. Green I mean. Green is also so so Geeky. need I go on? I can't help it as I have a 'Funky' Geeky son too :-)

That's all for now folks til next year, see you round the corner in 2013!  Have a great New Year's Eve 2012. Think green

Sandy Hook Elementary ~ 14th December 2012

My heart is filled with sadness over this recent shooting of innocent lives.

Am just dumbfounded over this ruthless and selfish act.Way too scary and becoming too much of a familiar trend in the US. It sends chills down my spine.

20 children and 8 adults. All dead. I can't even imagine what their families are going through. All schools of any sort should always be a safe haven for our kids.

There definitely has to be much tougher gun control measures in the US. Surely. This is the worst US school massacre so far. My heart is so heavy for all the loss of lives that shouldn't have happened in the first place. May God be the rock and comforter of all the families, friends and people affected directly or indirectly by this merciless act. You are all in our prayers.
